That’s why we offer virtual chimney assessments – a quick and simple way to connect with our chimney and fireplace experts.
What Is Needed for My Virtual Chimney Assessment?
Now, in order to offer the best analysis and insight, we need some quality images from the homeowner. For the best results, include at least one image of each of the following in your assessment request form:
- exterior of the chimney from the ground to the top from afar
- close up view of the firebox
- ground level view, zoomed in to view the top of your chimney
- inside of the firebox, looking up the flue
- fireplace or appliance from afar, showing the whole appliance
You can also include photos showcasing areas of concern, such as deteriorating mortar joints, damaged chimney caps, rusted flashing, chimney crown damage, etc.
Remember that the accuracy of our assessment depends on the images and information you provide for us. Our evaluation and recommendations may change if we arrive for onsite inspection to discover issues that were missed during the virtual assessment.
